Latest Update - NZ sheep warming up the girls

Well, we have had some very exciting news from Icebreaker. They are going to give us a bunch of seconds to take over for the Nepali girls to keep them warm on and off the river.

As you all know Icebreaker produce top quality New Zealand Merino wool products. Now that winter is well under-way we all have ours out in full-force; at work, up the mountain and on the river. We love the products Icebreaker produce and are super excited that the Nepali girls are going to get to test them out too.

This is our first major donation so far and we are very grateful to Icebreaker for helping out with this project. They've been great so far and have even offered to donate us some team wear for the trip.

The Kiwi Girls

How things are going so far

Inka has been super busy over in Sweden with lots of planning, organising and recruiting. There are now 7 Swedish, 1 Welsh, 1 Canadian and 3 Americans as well as the 7 of us Kiwi girls heading over to Nepal.

Inka has just had an interview published in the latest Outside Magazine (Sweden) about the Nepali girls and has articles in other Swedish Magazines too.

Cumec (the New Zealand and Australian white-water kayak Magazine) will be profiling the trip in the Next issue, which works out well as it is the 'Women's Issue' so a huge thanks to Antz from Cumec for doing that.

Andy Fuller owner of 'Day Two' (New Zealand made kayaking gear) has also kindly offered us some amazing deals on gear which we will be taking him up on once we raise some funds, thanks very much Andy.

Now we are working on finding funding, equipment and someone to make the documentary, so if you're keen to help with any of these or know someone who may be then please let us know.

We have also added a link for donations on the right of the blog, so if anyone would like to donate a few dollars towards gear for the Nepali Girls that would be fantastic.
